Late summer favorites

TV: Covert Affairs
Brainless fun, really. But really fun.

Food: Dark Chocolate Granola Thins
Yes, please.

Books: The Hunger Games triology
This is a young adult fiction series that has made the crossover to grown-ups. With good reason. The first two books are amazing and I read them both in three days time. Now I am left twiddling my fingers waiting for the third to hit bookstores next week.

Eli: Baths outside in the evening.
Naked chub on the front porch. Need I say more.

Stuff: Sherpani diaper bag
I bought this with birthday money and am completely in love. See that little pocket on the front? My iPhone's new home.

How did someone not think of this before now? Bite-size pieces of humor everyday in your google reader. Gary and Elaine, you complete me.

We love Covert Affairs, too. Never heard of the dark chocolate grahams, but yum-o. We always make our s'mores w/dark chocolate, so I have to try that. Will have to try the book series as well. Scott and I love some of those young adult series: the Inheritance Cycle, Percy Jackson, Harry Potter.

Could that little chubby bunny be any cuter?

I have also devoured the Hunger Games books this summer. Wish I was still teaching and could share the story with students. It would be a great read aloud for ninth graders. Linda

Hi Deb,
Eli is so stinking cute! I love seeing his pics. He is growing so fast. Those dark chocolate Granola Thins sound awesome. I have to try them -- you know --- since dark chocolate is good for me. ;)
I've been following the "Catalog Living" in my google reader also! Here's another I think you'd like: http://friendsofirony.com/ It will make you laugh! It sounds like we're going to get some relief from this relentless heat. I hope you get it also. Take care! Kathy H.
